[176] Why, if his mother's maiden name was Jenkins and his fathers mother's maiden name was Trevellick: was John given the second name of Ellis?? Double check !! ... And WHY was John baptised in the Weslyan Methodist faith when the other children were baptised C of E.? ......
Possible his Gfather Thomas Jenkin died in 1801, his Gmother then married a John Ellis in 1803, he may have been baptised this in honour of his Step Gfather.
