[4] A sad time for Richard, his father died 15 Nov, his wife died 30 Nov and his mother died March - 1932.

Surety of 2 on place, as certificate only shows birthplace as Old Grimsby, Tresco. General family knowledge was that he was born in his parents
cottage, as were his siblings.

Richard suffered with prostate trouble, and according to family lore had an operation in Penzance hospital, whilst he was recovering another
patient fell out of bed and was in some difficulty, Richard got out of his own bed to help the other patient and his stiches ruptured. He later
died from uraemia / complications.
